Starting Mein Kampf

Mein Kampf

Mein Kampf

I have finally decided that in order to understand  Hitler, I must read his book, Mein Kampf.  As I began reading, I discovered quickly that many of its tenets are  frightening and laughable. The man writes horribly, and he writes of horrible things. Examples of quotes that concern me in just the first few chapters:

Terror at the place of employment, in the factory, in the meeting hall, and on the occasion of mass demonstrations will always be successful…

..The Jew (is) no German.

…I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.

By the way, my mother is half Jewish, which makes me and my brother Jewish according to Nazi law. My father is Catholic.
